6 Ways to Network at the National Hardware Show®

While you’re exploring the National Hardware Show®, there will be thousands of products to research and tinker with on the show floor, and product research is a crucial reason to attend. But in between exclamations of “Did you see that?” and “I’ve been searching all over for this!” there are also endless ways to engage with other attendees to make sure your show experience is thorough, efficient and impactful.

Once you’ve taken in all the new tips, tricks and products in this exciting category, stick around to make new friends and trade tailgating and barbecuing secrets. This year’s Tailgate, Backyard & BBQ area moved back to the Silver Lot and was redeveloped to better serve retailers’ needs. Join other retailers at this casual afternoon event—retailers receive free drinks!

Go for a run.

Wednesday, May 10, 7:30 a.m., Sunset Park

Get a head start on Wednesday morning and join other show attendees for the Raise the Roof Run, a 5K run or 1-mile walk, at Sunset Park in Las Vegas. Proceeds from the run benefit The Fuller Center for Housing, a nonprofit group that provides housing for families around the world. To register, sponsor the run or donate, visit the event website.

Whether this is your first time at the show or your 15th, there is always something new to explore. There are nearly 500 new exhibitors this year, spread across each hardlines category. To find the list, visit the new exhibitors list on the NHS website or check out the new exhibitors list on the NHS mobile app. On the website, you can also see which new exhibitors will be showcasing new products.

Through the mobile app, you can access the exhibitor list and save your favorites, view the show floor map, get directions to booths and schedule appointments with vendors. You can even export the agenda to your device’s calendar app. You can also access My Show through the NHS app, which analyzes your information to provide personalized exhibitor recommendations. Download the app on iOS and Android through your smartphone’s app store.

Keep your employees and your community engaged with everything you’re seeing and doing at the show so they know you are committed to your business. Share photos and videos of products you are considering, and ask your followers to weigh in.
