A Look Back at the 2016 National Hardware Show

The 2016 National Hardware Show® offered a busy three days crammed with educational seminars, new products, awards ceremonies and networking opportunities.

The event, which is the largest gathering of independent home improvement retailers in the world, was May 4-6 in Las Vegas, and was co-located with the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) All-Industry Conference.

Inventors introduced new products and pitched their ideas to buyers from co-ops and wholesalers at the show, among other key highlights at the National Hardware Show.

The NRHA conference speaker lineup included Charles Fishman, best-selling author of “The Wal-Mart Effect,” and the four distinguished independent retailers who were honored with The Industry’s Top Guns award. Those Top Gun honorees were Eli Bliffert of Bliffert Lumber & Hardware, Tim Fansler of Family Farm & Home, Jack Foxworth of Foxworth-Galbraith and Jeremy Melnick of Gordon’s Ace Hardware. You can read more about the Industry’s Top Guns here.

There were also a variety of other awards programs featured at the NRHA All-Industry Conference and National Hardware Show that include the Packaging and Merchandising Awards Program and the 20th Young Retailer of the Year Awards, which you can find more information on in the July issue of Hardware Retailing magazine.
