China International Hardware Show Adds Enhancements

This month, more than 50,000 people will gather in Shanghai, China, to attend the China International Hardware Show (CIHS) 2016. Now in its 16th year, enhancements to the show will provide a more convenient experience for both exhibitors and visitors.

CIHS 2016 will take place Oct. 21-23, and will be held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center. Exhibition space will take up about 1.7 million square feet.

Internet+ Drives Hardware Channel Building

One aspect of CIHS 2016 that attendees can expect to see is an increased emphasis on online platforms and channels. The hardware industry has experienced many advancements online since Internet+ was announced in China in March of 2015.

CIHS 2016 will invite a large number of domestically and internationally well-known online platforms to exhibit their products and services during the event. Combining the internet and the event will supplement online and offline transaction modes. With the popularity of the internet, online transaction mode becomes the tool to search for domestic products by China’s buyers.

Promotional Activities for CIHS

The IHA Conference will be co-located with CIHS in Shanghai in 2017. A roadshow of both CIHS and the IHA Conference will be held in several places.

Special marketing events for the IHA Conference were held during the International Hardware Fair in Cologne, in France and at the National Hardware Show® in Las Vegas.

Overseas companies and buyers are invited to attend the IHA Conference and CIHS in Shanghai. Over 20 foreign media partners jointly introduced CIHS all over the world.

Strengthened International Cooperation

Since it began, CIHS has strengthened its international presence, and in 2016, will cooperate with the Engineering Export Promotion Council, India (EEPC) and welcome an EEPC pavilion for the first time.

Additionally, the show will have many onsite activities, including the India Import & Export Summit Forum, China Grinding Tools and Abrasives Export Forum, Match & Meet Program, Hardware Tour—Factory Visit and more. These opportunities will allow all industry attendees to meet the needs of buyers and suppliers.
