Do it Best Corp. Names Regional Sales and Business Development Manager for Northeastern U.S.

Do it Best Corp. announces the promotion of Bob Gumash to regional sales and business development manager for the northeastern United States, a territory that encompasses New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Virginia, Delaware and Maryland. Gumash will work to strengthen existing relationships between Do it Best Corp. and its member-owners through improvements in retail performance and dedicated personal service, as well as building and cultivating relationships with new members within their respective regions.

“I’m honored to lead this outstanding regional team as we work to achieve our #1 goal—helping our members grow,” Gumash says. “I’m excited to combine my previous experiences as a territory manager and retail performance manager to bring an unparalleled level of service and support to our members.”

“Bob brings the perfect mix of knowledge and enthusiasm to this role,” adds Jay Brown, vice president of sales and business development for Do it Best Corp. “He’s proven himself in his work with both our members and our field sales staff and we are eager to see the positive impact he’ll make in his region and throughout the co-op.”

Gumash is a 13-year veteran of Do it Best Corp., serving as a territory manager covering western Pennsylvania and western New York until 2006, when he became retail performance manager, a position he held until his promotion to regional sales and business development manager. Overall, he has more than 25 years of experience in the hardware retail industry, with an extensive focus on store development and expansion. He fills the position previously held by Rob Schmiedel, who was recently promoted to national sales manager.
