Do it Best Donates Bikes to Community Center

Employees from Do it Best Corp. assembled and donated bicycles to an Indianapolis community center this week.

The co-op, which is based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, had sales and business development workers put together the two dozen bikes as a team-building project prior to the Do it Best Market, which started today in Indianapolis.

Do it Best gave the bikes to Hawthorne Community Center, which is located near downtown Indianapolis. The center accepted the gift with children on hand who are served by the center.

“We are very excited to partner with the wonderful team at Do it Best Corp.,” center executive director Diane Arnold says. “Each year, we hold a community bicycle roundup where we invite children from our surrounding neighborhoods to participate in a variety of bike-themed events. We will make great use of these new bicycles.”

Donating the bikes is an expression of gratitude to the city of Indianapolis, which has hosted Do it Best market for nearly 40 years, according to Jay Brown, co-op vice president of sales and business development.
