Do it Best Expands Merchandising Team

Do it Best has named Laura Williams and Nicole Kepler to new positions within its merchandising division, effective Jan. 14, the company announced in a release.

Williams will serve as merchandise manager in hand tools, and Kepler will move to associate merchandise manager of tools. Both will develop, implement and communicate comprehensive programs for their respective product categories, as well as work closely with vendors to deliver profitable promotions and pricing for Do it Best member-owners.

“Both Laura and Nicole bring experience and innovative ideas to these growing product categories,” says Dent Johnson, vice president of merchandising at Do it Best. “These are categories of great importance and Laura and Nicole are well-positioned to drive results, growth and success for our members.” Johnson was named to his post last fall.

Williams has worked as part of the Do it Best merchandising team since joining the co-op in 2013. She most recently served as an associate merchandise manager for hand and power tools, where she led the development of several key project initiatives. Kepler is a seven-year veteran of the Do it Best merchandising team.

Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Do it Best Corp. serves thousands of member-owned locations across the U.S. and in more than 50 other countries.
