Focus On Garage Storage

Homeowners’ garages have become more than just a place to store vehicles. With the spring selling season just around the corner, it’s a great time to remind your customers that, in addition to overhauling their homes, the garage could use some sprucing up as well.

If someone comes in for garage storage items, your employees should learn about their space and suggest products they can purchase. Read below for some additional tips:

Recommend that consumers tackle a thorough garage cleaning before any organization project takes place.

Suggest vertical storage and ceiling organization items that won’t use up floor space. Promote wall hanging items and storage pieces to hold rakes, shovels, long-handled tools and more. They can also store seasonal items in ceiling storage units.

Arrange a display of assembled storage systems so customers can see them in use. This helps the customer visualize what it may look like in their garage and help them know how to assemble it.
