Hardware Distribution Warehouses (HDW) recent Fall Market, held at the Shreveport Convention Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, saw increased attendance of 30 percent compared to their previous market. CEO and president Kenneth R. Beauvais says registration and attendance were the second largest at Shreveport in the company’s history.
Beauvais says HDW dealers and vendors were extremely pleased with the location and facilities made available during the event.
“Our dealers really enjoyed the Shreveport venue, adding sales results from the market were outstanding,” Beauvais says. “We were especially pleased to see the support provided to us with the attendance of over 60 new dealer attendees from our region.”
During the event, HDW introduced its new Dealer Sign Program.
“HDW now has the capability to produce all signage needs for retailer’s stores,” says Jimmy Horne, vice president of corporate communications. “We are able to provide aisle signs and outdoor store signage to help retailers highlight their products and locations. We are very encouraged by the response and participation we have received with this program.”
At the market, Frederick Yaklin, chief information officer, released the new HDW Order App. The app allows HDW customers to order through an iOS or Android device. The app takes just a few minutes to download and speeds up the ordering process for retailers. It sends orders straight to HDW systems or allows retailers to send their orders to the shopping cart on the HDW website.
Retailers in attendance took advantage of special purchases, educational seminars, new product information, advertising programs and visited with over 350 vendors in attendance.
HDW also announced it will be hosting its Spring Market for the first time in New Orleans. The event will be held Feb. 7-9 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
