Hardware Retailers Refuse to Open on Thanksgiving

Hardware retailers were among store chains making a point to keep their businesses closed on Thanksgiving this year.

Home Depot and Ace Hardware both announced via social media that their stores would be closed on the holiday.Depot_Old

Home Depot asked its Twitter followers to “Take time to enjoy food, family and friends.” Ace Hardware made this statement on Facebook:  “We understand Thanksgiving Day is becoming an increasingly big ‘retail day’ — but some things are just more important than money.”
