The National Hardware Show® Wants to Know What You Would Do With $100K

The National Hardware Show® will be awarding one lucky retailer $100,000 to invest in the future of their business through its Reimagine Retail Program.

The program is open to all independently owned home improvement/hardware retailers. Retailers will be able to enter the promotion at: www.nationalhardwareshow.com/Reimagine-Retail.

The National Hardware Show will begin accepting entries on Feb. 21 and submissions will be accepted until Friday, March 24 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Finalists will be notified by Friday, April 28, 2017. The finalists will be flown to the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, which takes place from May 9-11.

The grand-prize winner will be announced on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, on the NRHA Village Stage at the National Hardware Show.

To enter, retailers will have to submit a 500-word essay describing how they would invest the $100,000 in prize money to reimagine the future of their own retail operations.

The National Hardware Show will be looking for projects that focus on four key business improvement areas:

  • Store Design
  • Technology
  • Employee Improvement (training, retaining and/or recruiting, etc.),
  • Products and Expanded Categories.

Together with representatives from the North American Retail Hardware Association and a panel of industry professionals, the National Hardware Show team will review the entries and determine which project is most worthy of winning the $100,000.

“This is your opportunity to share your vision for the future of what you would do to take your retail operation to the next level,” says Rich Russo, vice president of the National Hardware Show.
