Tips to Network and Learn at Fall Markets

Going into the fall selling season, wholesaler fall markets present an opportunity to think ahead to spring, network with your peers and meet your association.

While you’re preparing to attend these events, consider the following tips to get the most out of the market.

  1. Make a list. Prior to attending a buying market, make a checklist of everything your operation needs and distribute it to all of your team members who are attending the event.
  2. Connect with your peers. Find another retailer who will be attending the market and make plans to meet. Markets present a great opportunity to discover how other retailers are achieving success in their operations.
  3. Look for something new. One of the primary reasons for attending a wholesaler market is to be the first to find new products. Keep your eye out for something unexpected that might be a great addition to your product mix.
  4. Learn something about NRHA. Send an email to nrha@nrha.org to see how we can connect with you and help you find ways to improve your business.
