Porch.com Announces Expansion of Features

Porch.com, a Seattle-based company that began partnering with Lowe’s in 2014, recently announced that it is expanding its services to help home improvement professionals grow their businesses.

The website is a searchable database of professional contractors who do home improvement work. Homeowners go to Porch.com to search for and hire professionals to do projects they need.

On the other hand, professionals can use the site to look for work in their markets and in their areas of expertise.

The new services the site is introducing are for the professionals. Porch.com introduced a loyalty program called Porch Perks, which gives discounts to Porch’s professional users at other businesses, according to Porch.com.

The new Porch.com enhancements include the following:

  • A direct connect experience, which offers an easy way for national and regional home improvement services pros to access projects through Porch.
  • A pay-as-you-go feature that allows professionals to enter a credit card number and browse a list of homeowner project needs in an area.
  • The option for pros to set search criteria on the website so homeowners’ project needs that are posted to Porch.com can automatically be reserved for them each month.

“Professionals can now decide the best way to grow their business through the expansion of our pro product suite,” says chairman and CEO Matt Ehrlichman. “With our new offerings, Porch caters to every home service professional across the country, big or small, by providing features that are tailored to their business. Over the past year, project request volume on Porch from homeowners has exploded, so now is the right time to accelerate the connection with all types of quality professionals.”

The new features come with a free program for homeowners that guarantees a quality experience. All professionals, whose work is guaranteed through Porch.com, are eligible to use the just-launched Porch Perks, which offers them dozens of discounts at businesses such as Lowe’s and Wayfair, and hundreds of local deals on products, food, legal services and more. The goal is to help the professionals grow their businesses.

“For the past two years, we’ve been working on increasing the amount of qualified service requests that come through Porch,” says chief customer officer Matthew Neagle. “With the quality and value of these requests at an all-time high, we want to reward our professionals by helping them grow their business in other ways.”
