Take a Tour: The New American Home 2016

Earlier this year, Hardware Retailing attended the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) annual event, the International Builders’ Show (IBS) during Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas.

One of the most prominent features during the IBS show is a model home called The New American Home®, off-site of the convention center. The home, open for attendees to tour, is a ‘real-world’ laboratory demonstrating concepts, materials, designs and construction techniques that can be replicated – in whole or in part – in housing built any place and in any price range, according to the NAHB.

In the April issue of Hardware Retailing, we dive into the various trends and innovations in home construction and building materials as demonstrated in The New American Home 2016. We also provide tips on how to best incorporate and sell these trends in lumber and building materials.
