NRHA’s 2015 Cost of Doing Business Study is now available! This study has been conducted annually for the last 98 years and provides detailed financial information from hardware stores, home centers and lumber/building material outlets. This year, more than 1,000 stores participated, the second highest participation in the last 15 years.

The tables contained in this report are designed to provide comprehensive, yet straightforward guidelines for analyzing the profitability of your hardware store, home center or lumber/building material outlet. Included with the Cost of Doing Business Study are several financial calculators that allow you to plug in your financial information to see how your business measures up to industry averages. Use the calculator to determine areas of financial opportunity for your business.
