National Hardware Show Appoints Program Leader

John Shields has joined the National Hardware Show® team to support the show’s attendee programs and extend its relationships with hardware and home improvement professionals.

Shields comes to the National Hardware Show with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He has worked with businesses such as the Hunter Fan Co., Servistar and Stanley Hardware.

“I am excited to bring my industry experience to the National Hardware Show team, where I can assist in exceeding the expectations for both the attending and exhibiting customers. I am ready to continue my industry involvement, especially with this annual event, our industry show, where we come together to be educated, make new business contacts, view new products and renew old friendships,” Shields says.

Shields will start off his new position with visits to key attendees and industry events to learn more about their upcoming needs and how the National Hardware Show can continue to evolve to meet those needs.

“We are thrilled to have John on board. His many years of experience in the hardware industry and with the show as a member of our advisory board will allow him to play an integral role in the future direction of the show,” show vice president Rich Russo says. “He will help to create programs to best support our buyers, suppliers and all hardware industry professionals for years to come.”

The 2016 National Hardware Show is slated for Wednesday, May 4, through Friday, May 6, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.
