Kitchens are a warm gathering space for many people, and as consumers continue to invest time and money into the hub of the home, it is important to stay up to date on the latest trends. House Beautiful has released kitchen trends for 2022 after asking 10 designers to share their predictions for what will be hot in kitchen design this year. We picked out our top three kitchen trends to share.
Storage space. As kitchens become increasingly multifunctional, adequate storage space has become a critical aspect of an efficient kitchen. Organizational products that work well with different types of kitchen cabinets, drawers and cabinets are key, so consider stocking products like wicker baskets and large jars.
Statement hoods. Large architectural hoods are great additions to any kitchen and create an inspiring focal point for consumers. Pairing light whites and creams with darker hues creates contrast and drama and allows the hoods to make a striking impact.
Hinge doorways. Hinge doorways allow doors to pivot on one edge as they open and close. Recently, there has been an increase in “invisible” hinge doorways, which allows available spaces to be hidden. Examples include hidden walk-in pantries and secret wine rooms.
