4 Holiday Decor Trends to Watch This Year

Heading into the heart of the holiday season, your customers are ready to turn their homes into festive holiday wonderlands. With the right product mix, you can become their go-to holiday decor shopping destination. This year, several holiday decor trends are already emerging, so stay on top of the trends and keep your customers happy by stocking these items.

Blues and golds. From blue and gold adorning Christmas trees to mantels festooned with these pops of color, this cool color scheme is hot for this year. Stock up on blue and gold ribbon, ornaments, tablecloths and runners and other holiday decor your customers will want to complete this look.

Sustainable products. The eco-friendly movement meets holiday joy with sustainable decor, such as fair-trade garlands, ornaments and cards from Ten Thousand Villages. Novica also offers a line of handmade and fair-trade Christmas decor, including the Batik Cotton Stocking in Midnight from Bali, crafted by a Balinese artist.

Vintage decor. Another hot trend this holiday season is vintage decor, both true vintage secondhand pieces and decor that looks vintage. Include items that have a nostalgic feel—such as gingerbread men, ceramic lighted Christmas trees and vintage cards—in your product mix.

Tree collars. An alternative to the traditional Christmas tree skirt, tree collars come in different styles, colors and materials to fit any household style. The Glitzhome Die Cut Christmas Tree Collar adds a touch of whimsy and comes in several colors and designs.
