Achievers Club Recognizes Top PRO Hardware Performers

PRO Hardware retailers from across the country mingled with distributor personnel and manufacturers at the PRO Hardware Achiever’s Club trip Jan. 5-9 in Cabo San Lucas, Baja Sur, Mexico.

The Achiever’s Club is the national recognition and awards program for PRO Hardware retailers. Retailers qualify for the club based on purchases through manufacturer partners and participation in PRO programs.

Forty-one retailers representing The Bostwick-Braun Company, Long-Lewis Hardware Company and Wallace Hardware Company Inc., along with PRO Group key suppliers came together for the event. In all, there were more than 120 attendees including retailers, distributors, key suppliers and PRO Group personnel.

Mick Taylor, store manager of Hindman PRO Mart Home Center in Hindman, Ky., is a first-time Achiever’s Club attendee and says he benefitted from spending time with other retailers.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as a top performing PRO Hardware retailer and a pleasure to spend the week in such a beautiful resort environment with other high achieving PRO stores. I always pick up new ideas from my peers, and this year’s workshop opened up a new avenue to promote and grow my business. Everyone appreciates the commitment of PRO Key Suppliers that make this outstanding event possible. I will be working hard to return to the next PRO Hardware Achiever’s Club.”

A highlight of the trip was a presentation by Timothy Dahl, the founder of the home improvement site Charles & Hudson, Webby-nominated family DIY site Built by Kids and digital fabrication/3D printing site Mecha Makers, who led an interactive workshop designed to help PRO Hardware retailers enhance their web presence with social media.

“Being exposed to this remarkable group of entrepreneurs is inspiring and motivating,” says Steve Synnott, president and CEO of PRO Group. “Every store represents the American dream with heartwarming stories of the obstacles they overcame to achieve success in the highly competitive home improvement marketplace. PRO Hardware is proud to be associated with these outstanding business leaders.”
