Art Deco Returns in 2019

Mid-century modern design has influenced furniture, cabinetry, trim, flooring, paint and many other building supplies for new and remodeled homes over the past few years (and even decades).

The mid-century modern design movement was popular from about 1945 to 1975. Key characteristics, according to HGTV, includes flat planes, large windows, changes in elevation and integration with nature.

Building on the look for 2019, Art Deco gets a revamp, adding a touch of glamour to the mid-century modern trend. Art Deco influences can be seen in mixed metals, vintage/retro tiles, bold paint colors and geometric wallpaper patterns. For more on this look, check out these images on trendesignbook.com.
