Creating an Outdoor Kitchen for Al Fresco Cooking

Providing another way for us to enjoy our backyards, outdoor kitchens have become a hot renovation project in the past year. The National Kitchen and Bath Association surveyed designers, manufacturers, retailers, distributors and allied professionals and found that 76 percent were planning an outdoor kitchen renovation for their clients.

Retailers can benefit from this trend by stocking the products customers need to create a fully functional outdoor kitchen or improve their existing spaces.

Just like an indoor kitchen, outdoor cooking spaces include a variety of appliances. Some of the most popular outdoor kitchen appliances include built-in grills, like the Weber Summit Built-In Grill, and wine and food refrigerators such as the Marvel Outdoor Built-In Refrigerator

Outdoor kitchens aren’t just about the big items; they provide plenty of opportunities for add-on sales with small products. Grill accessories like the Nexgrill 8-Piece Grill Set and the AcuRite Digital Meat Thermometer and Timer help backyard cooks grill up delicious meals. Other items that can complete an outdoor kitchen include grilling skewers, basting brushes and grilling gloves.
