Do it Best Adds Paslode to Warehouse

Ahead of its spring market in Houston, Do it Best has announced the addition of Paslode products in its warehouses. Paslode is a leading manufacturer of cordless and pneumatic nailers, staplers, and fasteners.

“We continually seek new opportunities to enhance the value we offer our members, and securing top products with vendors that share our passion for pursuing product excellence and supporting independent retailers is one facet of that,” says Do it Best president and CEO Dan Starr. “That’s why we’re excited to announce Paslode as our newest addition to the warehouse.”

“We understand the importance of offering an extensive product selection that caters to different retail stores across markets,” says power tools merchandise manager Shane Burnworth. “Whether it’s a single-location home improvement store, a comprehensive home center and showroom or a multi-state pro-focused lumberyard operation, we’re committed to helping our members become the go-to source for home improvement and building supplies within their communities. And we do that by providing the products our members need with premium brands.”

The company’s latest initiative to stock Paslode products marks a strategic decision that follows last year’s exclusive partnership with BFG Supply Co., which gave members access to a comprehensive catalog of lawn and garden products. With this new program in place, Do it Best can offer the full line of Paslode products to its members, such as fuel-powered, cordless nailers, staplers and fasteners.

“Our focus on providing our store owners with top-quality products has already yielded outstanding results,” says Starr. “Our members have responded, driving Category Solutions sales up 35% so far this year, which reflects the relevance and currency of their assortments.”

Do it Best also considers vendor reputations when making strategic investment decisions.

“With thousands of members across the U.S., it’s critical that we continue to develop customized planograms and assortments tailored to meet unique member requirements,” says Starr. “Paslode provides this opportunity, and with 80 years of proven industry experience, we’re confident that this new initiative will help drive member growth.”

Do it Best will also unveil two groundbreaking technology-based tools to enhance operational efficiencies and optimize inventory management at the spring market.
