Do it Best Announces Spring Market Plans

Do it Best Corp. has announced its plan to continue the virtual market format for its Spring 2021 event after the success the co-op had with its Fall 2020 market. The market will take place online from March 7 to 19.

“While we had to pivot quickly to move our fall market to an online format, it far exceeded expectations,” says Do it Best president and CEO Dan Starr. “We posted a strong increase in overall attendance and number of stores participating along with substantial growth in member purchases. We were able to connect with our members on special deals, new products and training opportunities. With what we’ve learned, we’re looking to make the spring market even better, drawing in more members to lock in all the great savings available.”

Starr says the company talked to constituents throughout the channel, including members, vendors and staff, and while everyone expressed a strong preference for an in-person event, Do it Best’s commitment to safety and the ongoing uncertainty caused by the pandemic were the driving factors for suspending the co-op’s live event in Indianapolis.

The spring market will offer outstanding buying opportunities, including the popular Sneak Peek. The online event will also feature strategic buying presentations from Do it Best lumber, building materials, merchandising and marketing experts as well as educational training sessions from industry veterans.

Do it Best also announced it is considering other opportunities to bring members, vendors and staff together in late spring for a special event. More information will be provided in early 2021. The Do it Best Fall Market is scheduled for Sept. 17-20 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
