Do it Best Corp. announced today the selection of Rich Lynch as the co-op’s new vice president of marketing.

In this position, Lynch will lead a team dedicated to helping co-op member-owners grow their businesses through effective, flexible and scalable advertising, e-commerce, retail marketing and store design. He also will oversee the company’s media and promotional campaigns.

Lynch joined Do it Best Corp. in October 2011 as retail marketing director, developing and implementing a number of key programs and initiatives. Highlights include the launch of OASIS, an online advertising planning and budgeting system for members’ marketing efforts; a more robust and enhanced customer loyalty program; and the introduction of a more flexible and customized circular program that offers contemporary new designs to help drive store traffic for members and strengthen their brand.

Lynch replaces Tim Miller, who served as VP of marketing for the past four years; Miller is replacing the retiring John Snider as vice president of retail logistics.

“It is an absolute honor to join the outstanding executive leadership team at Do it Best Corp.,” Lynch said. “I’ve enjoyed working closely with Tim over the past three years, adding to my knowledge of this organization and how we can best serve our members, and I look forward to building on the many accomplishments we’ve realized as a team.”

Overall, Lynch has more than 25 years of experience in the retail, home improvement and co-op industries. Prior to joining Do it Best Corp. he served as a senior category manager for Beam Global Spirits and Wine. Before that, he spent more than two decades at a different hardware co-op in a variety of roles, including director of retail training, manager of retail development and supervisor of dealer services.
