Emery Jensen Distribution Announces New Initiatives

At its first National Sales Meeting in Oak Brook, Illinois, on Jan. 7-8, 2020, Emery Jensen Distribution announced a new national partnership with building materials distributor PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. and aligned the Emery and Jensen sales teams as one national team under the Emery Jensen Distribution banner.

The company also detailed plans for an expansion of Emery Jensen’s Craftsman tools offering to professional customers.

These initiatives are intended to increase the company’s ability to offer skill and scale to its network of independent retailers.

“We are excited to unveil our new partnership with PrimeSource, an expanded Craftsman offering, and more programs and services aimed at helping our incredible independent retailers improve their businesses,” says newly named president and general manager of Emery Jensen Distribution Michael Magee. “We believe these enhanced product offerings and services will help to further position Emery Jensen Distribution as a national powerhouse servicing the independent retailer.”

Ace Hardware acquired Jensen Distribution Services and Emery-Waterhouse of Maine in 2015 and 2014, respectively. Emery Jensen Distribution has 17 distribution centers, and offices in Chicago, IL, Maine and Washington. The company is a leading national distributor servicing independent retailers in the pro, paint, hardware and e-commerce channels.
