Furniture Display Makes Customers Feel Welcome

Many of the customers who come in to Munger Paint & Wallcovering are homeowners looking for the perfect shade of paint or just the right pattern of wallpaper to help them redecorate a room.

Thanks to some painted furniture and a fireplace, the store feels welcome and inviting as customers browse the aisles or sit down to look through wallpaper books or paint swatches.

There are a couple of tables and a desk in the paint section, and a table and fireplace in the wallpaper area, all designed to make customers feel at home as they make their purchasing decisions.

“We want to everyone who comes through the door to feel welcome,” says owner Curt Munger. “We want them to take time to browse or to ask questions. We think the furniture adds to that welcoming environment.”

Try something similar in your store: Add a table and chairs to your paint department so customers have a place to sit and look through color options, or consider displaying painted furniture to help them think beyond the walls for their paint purchases.
