Regional distributor Handy Hardware is retiring its name this year in favor of World and Main, the name of its parent company.
Handy Hardware will formally adopt the World and Main name at its spring buying market, which is scheduled for Jan. 21-23 in Houston.
Formerly known as the Handy Hardware Spring Market, the World and Main Houston Spring Market is a buying event for customers from across the Southwest to visit hundreds of exhibitors and discuss new ideas, trends and more.
World and Main, LLC, is the owner of companies including Handy Hardware, HBC Home & Hardware Products and Jones Stephens Corp., as well as brands such as The Faucet Queens, Inc. and WordLock Inc. The company was known as Hardware Holdings, LLC, until October 2015. At that time, Hardware Holdings changed its corporate name to reposition itself as a national distributor.
At the spring market in Houston, World and Main will celebrate the Handy Hardware name retirement at a party that will feature a performance from Texas singer and songwriter Kevin Fowler.
“Rebranding Handy Hardware to World and Main reflects the strength of our new company and the value we have to offer to all of our customers,” says Don Devine, president and CEO of World and Main. “At our January spring market in Houston, we want to celebrate Handy’s history and show the compelling values World and Main can provide to our customers to help drive their success in 2016.”
