Hardware Hank Launches New E-Commerce Site

Hardware Hank, owned by United Hardware, has launched its first e-commerce site. The launch supports the goals of United Hardware’s independently owned member retailers to grow consumer connections in their local communities.

“We know that a majority of consumers are shopping online some of the time, and most are also doing research online as they plan their home projects and repair needs,” says Jeff Duffin, vice president of marketing for United Hardware. “We also know that Hardware Hank consumers highly value their in-store shopping experiences and their trust in our members’ store teams. Our new website adds another level of value and service to consumers by providing this digital opportunity to research, browse and virtually shop at their trusted Hardware Hank store.”

Visitors to the website first select their preferred Hardware Hank store location and then begin shopping. In-store inventories and selections vary for physical brick-and-mortar stores as member owners select merchandise based on the needs of their local communities. The new website will significantly expand the available product selection for consumers by offering more than 40,000 items.

Consumers will be able to buy online and pickup in store. Individual stores also have the option to offer curbside pickup or home delivery for consumers.

To support the launch, United Hardware has developed marketing materials for their member owners to promote the website, including in-store signage, posters, window and floor clings and aisle violators.

“The website allows us to strengthen our trusted brand with current Hardware Hank customers, enhancing their shopping experiences and providing a way to reach new customers who want to shop local,” says Duffin.
