Home Automation: NHS Staple

Yes, there’s an app for that. From home security systems and thermostats to sump pumps, smokers and power tools, many hardware and home improvement products have been updated with technology features that allow for easy monitoring and control from smart devices. In addition to items with apps, many other products from showerheads and faucets to sprinklers, coffee mugs, and appliances have received a boost from smart technologies that allow for customization and better control.

For years, the National Hardware Show has been a leader in home automation, with space on the show floor and product categories dedicated to smart products. In years past, the Smart Home Virtual Reality Experience and Interactive Smart Home have been popular exhibits, allowing attendees to “leave” the Show and enter a residential smart home where they can experience the latest trends in technology.

Although the 2020 National Hardware Show was cancelled, the 2021 Show is scheduled for May 11-13, 2021 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and a Virtual Show is scheduled for October 12-15 of this year.
