Home Hardware Receives Top Fleet Employer of Distinction Award

Home Hardware Stores Ltd. has been named a Top Fleet Employer of Distinction by Trucking HR Canada. The program, now in its eighth year, distinguishes the best trucking and logistics industry workplaces across Canada.

“Being honored by Trucking HR Canada for the eighth consecutive year recognizes Home Hardware’s commitment to going the extra mile to make this a great place to work,” says Dennis Shantz, director of fleet services at Home Hardware. “With 140 tractors and over 500 trailers traveling 20 million kilometers per year, Home Hardware continues to be a leader in the trucking industry.”

Award applicants are evaluated on recruitment and retention practices, workplace culture, compensation, training and skills development, and innovative human resources practices. Additionally, the Top Fleet Employer of Distinction status is given to employers who have been recognized in the program for a minimum of five years.

“Trucking and logistics employers and their employees continue to be leaders in getting us through the pandemic,” says Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada. “As we look to support economic recovery, our Top Fleet employers lead the way in offering great workplaces for Canadians seeking new employment opportunities.”
