House-Hasson Foregoes Fall Virtual Event

House-Hasson has decided to forego its previously scheduled virtual October buying event in an effort to focus on improving performance on everyday business, company president Don Hasson confirms. The event was previously scheduled to take place Oct. 29-30.

In a letter to House-Hasson customers, Hasson says COVID-19 has led to increased home improvement sales, which has stressed supply chains throughout the industry.

“The result is that supply chains are stretched to the limit,” he says. “Fill rates and delivery schedules are nowhere near what we want and expect. We are taking steps to correct this situation while trying to fill every order we receive.”

Hasson says the company seeks to return to a 96 percent service level and on-time delivery for customers, and he anticipates that task taking the rest of the year.

In lieu of the virtual event in October, House-Hasson is planning a road show in October featuring warehouse specials and hundreds of dropship doorbusters. Hasson says the company plans on having an in-person buying event in January and will deliver more details soon.
