spoga+gafa, the global lawn and garden showcase event, has postponed its previously scheduled 2020 event. Originally, the event was to take place in Cologne, Germany, Sept. 6-8, but will now be held May 30-June 1, 2021.
Event organizers say going forward, all spoga+gafa events will take place in late May and early June.
The decision to postpone the event comes after many other home improvement industry events have either postponed or transitioned to virtual platforms to keep retailers, vendor partners and home improvement employees safe amid COVID-19.
spoga+gafa registration has grown in recent years, a fact which event organizers say influenced their decision to postpone.
“The aim of our conversations with the industry is to work together to give a strong trade fair a chance to gain even more strength and market relevance,” says Oliver Frese, COO of Koelnmesse, the company that hosts spoga+gafa.
The 2020 spoga+gafa event was to focus on sustainable lawn and garden trends.
