Award Winning Homewares Products

During the National Hardware Show, awards are handed out for products in many of the prime home improvement categories, including Housewares/Homewares. The NHS Homewares Awards, sponsored by HomeWorld Business, highlight the “Best in Class” in the housewares/homewares product category. The following winners were voted on by a panel of industry judges at the 2019 Show held in May. If you’re hoping to fill out your homewares inventory for 2020, consider these finalists.

First Place
Motorola Smart Safes: Your customers can relax, knowing their valuables are safe with this NHS award-winning home safe from vendor, ITSmart Security. The product is available in two versions, the Flex Smart Safe and the Bolt Smart Safe. The Flex safe takes seconds to set up, using expandable wings that require no tools for installation. The Bolt safe comes with bolt holes for permanent installation. Both safes are equipped with Wifi connected security that sends real-time alerts to smartphones, instantly notifying users of a breach or if the door was left open.

 Second Place
LED Night Light Grab Rails: The patented LED Night Light Grab Rail is perfect for customers who need extra stability in the bathroom, and the rail offers additional support in the form of a voice-activated, soft blue light that can aid customers when entering and exiting dark bathrooms. The rail is available in many lengths and finishes, including black, gunmetal, and chrome. It comes with hardware for easy installation. The rail is available from Handi Products. For 60 years, their Stop The Slip line of products have offered safety solutions that minimize slips and falls, the number one cause of emergency room visits.

Third Place
Quick Dam Indoor Water Control Solutions: Offered from NHS vendor Absorbent Specialty Products, these indoor water dams can be used to contain and control water-based spills or leaks from overflowing appliances, leaking equipment, condensation, floods, drips, runoff, and more. As a preventative, they can be wrapped around pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, refrigerators and doorways. The water-activated material locks in fluids to help mitigate loss from water damage, making them a great product to have on hand as part of any home emergency kit.
