NRHA Makes Donation to Aubuchon Hardware’s Fund

On June 8, Scott Wright, Executive Director of NRHA’s Retail Leadership Institute, visited Aubuchon Hardware’s Westminster, Massachusetts, headquarters to make a $5,000 donation to The Moran Fund, a newly created fund named after the company’s former president and CEO Marcus Moran Jr.

Proceeds from The Moran Fund will be used to serve as a safety net for all Aubuchon Hardware employees who experience significant hardship due to catastrophic circumstances beyond their control. Aubuchon Hardware employs approximately 1,200 team members and operates more than 110 stores throughout the Northeast.

“Marcus’s never-ending commitment to people is the inspiration for this fund, and this $5,000 pledge from NRHA keeps the momentum going,” says Will Aubuchon, president and CEO.

“Marcus has been such a great supporter of NRHA’s Retail Management Certification Program since its inception,” Wright says. “He has supported the program by sending students, by providing program instructors, such as Josiah Gates, Aubuchon’s newly appointed vice president of retail innovation, and has mentored course instructors from NRHA and Butler University. This donation is a small token of our gratitude for the guidance and leadership Marcus and his staff have provided.”
