Online Holiday Shopping and Research to Increase Commerce

There are only 26 days between Black Friday and Christmas this year, meaning brick-and-mortar stores will be busy and online shopping carts will be full during the coming weeks.

According to an infographic by Invesp, U.S. retail commerce is expected to grow 17 percent this holiday season, reaching $72.4 billion.

While many purchases will still be made in brick-and-mortar stores, 92 percent of shoppers plan to research, if not buy, gifts online this holiday season.

When purchasing gifts online, the factors that consumers consider extremely important are discounts, low prices and free shipping.
