Retail Management Certification Program Adopts New Format

In a break from its previous three-visit model, the North American Retail Hardware Association’s (NRHA) upcoming Retail Management Certification Program will feature two in-person class visits. Students will still benefit from the same number of in-person instructional hours, but a classroom session has been added to the two visit dates—and students will present their final business improvement projects virtually.

“While the decision to move from a three- to a two-visit format was made to reduce the travel burden for students, it is something that we have been considering even before COVID-19,” says Scott Wright, executive director of NRHA’s Retail Leadership Institute. “The number of total classroom hours will remain the same, but we feel it will come as a relief to students and their sponsors not to have to make a third trip to Indianapolis in January. Maintaining the safety of our students and instructors is our primary motivation.”

The deadline to apply for the upcoming session is Aug. 1. The first program visit will take place in September in Indianapolis. Click here to learn more or apply, or email Scott Wright at swright@nrha.org.
