TAL Holdings Strengthens Presence in Montana With Acquisition

TAL Holdings, one of the fastest growing family-owned building material centers in the Pacific Northwest, announced its agreement in principle to acquire Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center, a two-store chain in western Montana.

“We are thrilled to have Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center join the TAL family,” says Jason Blair, CEO of TAL Holdings. “Their legacy of excellence, coupled with our shared values and passion for customer service, will make this partnership a perfect fit. We look forward to working together to build stronger communities and create a brighter future for our customers, and we a grateful to the Winden family for their trust.”

In 1995, Greg and Robin Winden founded Beaverhead Home Center in Dillon, Montana. Ennis Lumber Company, formerly known as Madison Lumber and located in Ennis, Montana, combined its operations with Beaverhead Home Center in 2012.

“We’re excited to partner with TAL, as their commitment to quality and service aligns with our values,” Greg says.

In early June 2023, TAL Holdings will officially welcome both Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center into its growing family, where both stores will continue to operate under their respective names.

“This addition will strengthen our presence in the Western Montana region and bring with it a wonderful group of employees,” Blair says.

With this acquisition, TAL’s footprint will expand to a total of 32 locations across Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington, further cementing its commitment to the Pacific Northwest region.
