Landlords can help reduce tenants’ heating costs with the Landlordstat by Chicago Controls Thermostats. Depending on the model, the thermostat limits heat settings to 71, 73 or 74 degrees. It has a 24-volt AC with battery backup. The product is tamper-proof, so limits cannot be adjusted. Programming is not required. Installation takes about five minutes.
