True Value Co., one of the world’s largest hardlines wholesalers, has announced Dario Skocir will join the company as the vice president of supply chain on Feb. 22.
Skocir has more than 30 years of transforming operations with innovative technologies and process related to warehouse, delivery and fleet.
“As we look to position ourselves for continued growth, we are hyper-focused on ensuring we have the right talent in place to execute our strategic supply chain transformation,” says True Value CEO Chris Kempa. “Dario brings over 30 years of experience in developing and implementing best-in-class operations and will be a tremendous asset as we continue to be hardware retailers’ primary partner for their end-to-end product and supply chain needs.”
Skocir comes to True Value from US Foods where he spent the last 12 years, most recently as the senior vice president of distribution field operations. In his role, he was responsible for distribution, managing all functions related to warehousing, delivery, fleet, technology, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he spent many years at UPS where he oversaw multiple 24-hour package distribution operations facilities in the U.S. network.
As part of True Value’s next phase of continued transformation, Lyndsi Lee has decided to leave the company for a new opportunity. Throughout Lyndsi’s six years with True Value, she was instrumental in implementing several strategic operational processes including JDA Supply and Demand Planning which led to increased efficiencies while working to maintain fill rates.
