Why “Made in the USA” Matters

The National Hardware Show® understands the importance of the Made in USA category to hardware and home improvement retailers, whose customers crave products with the Made in USA seal. Every year at NHS, attendees can browse exhibits in a featured area dedicated to products that are primarily manufactured in the U.S.

There are many reasons retailers should offer products that are made domestically. Economically, sales from those products help provide and sustain jobs for present and future generations of Americans, while also reducing our deficit and our reliance on other countries. On the humanitarian side, it guarantees safe and fair working conditions since the U.S. maintains high-quality regulations. And, it’s better for the environment, not only due to U.S. manufacturing regulations, but also due to the reduction in transportation costs and carbon footprints.
